Happy Chinese New Year! The parade in Chinatown was on February 9th this year, and me and my buds once again braved the traffic for ringside seats.
The weather was gorgeous and we found a great spot near the start of the parade. I loved the constant barrage of confetti and colors. The sun was a bit unforgiving at times, but I do believe we did a good job heralding the Year of the Rat.
I’ve posted a few of my photos in my 2008 album:

May it be a glorious year for all of you!
It looks like the parade was a lot of fun. My dad does the one local to his area. He's part of the Buddhist temple that brings out the Buddha statue. There wasn't one here. So sad. The asian population is so small, but Chris seems to think it's huge. But I'm like, yeah, I came from San Francisco!
