I am heading off to Wiscon 34 in a few days. As usual, my only scheduled programming is a reading:
MYTH, MAGIC, & MACHINES
SUNDAY 2:30-3:45PM
VILAS (Inn on the Park)
Four writers of middle grade and YA read from their work, including scenes from two spring/summer releases and previews of future releases: Rae Carson’s THE PRINCESS AND THE GODSTONE, Karen Healey’s GUARDIAN OF THE DEAD, Jenn Reese’s ABOVE WORLD and Greg van Eekhout’s KID VS. SQUID.
Artwork graciously provided by Angela Moore. (Click poster to see a larger image.)
YAY! Oh, I wish I could be there to hear you! Have fun!
Thanks, Christine!! And please keep me updated on your subs!!!
You guys should tape this and post the readings on Youtube for those of us who can't make it.
And the graphic is awesome. How cool is it to see your book's name under your name? Cuz I think it's pretty damn cool.
Happily, I have none of the necessary technology to record our readings. Alas! Can you tell how heartbroken I am about that?
And yeah, I'm pretty psyched about the book getting to be a Real book someday. :-D
Ahhhh, wish I could be there. I second posting the readings on Youtube.
Thanks so much for your help with the poster and wrangling your daughter. :-D
I will be there! I enjoy Greg's readings, and I'm keen to meet some the rest of you.
Catherine
I hope you don't hold the rest of us up to Greg's high standard!!
Looking forward to meeting you, too. :)
Wow! Sounds like a *great* reading! Wish I could go!
Thanks, Jamie — the reading was a blast!!
