A few weeks ago, Tim Pratt, Heather Shaw, and Greg van Eekhout invited me to contribute to a special collaboration project, now called The Alphabet Quartet.

Tim gives all the details in his post The Alphabet Collab, so I just want to mention two things:

1. This is my first time working with Daily Science Fiction, and I’m really excited about it. (And you should visit the site and sign up for their emailed stories if you haven’t already.) I’m also thrilled to be working with Escape Artists again. One of my stories (“The Dream Factory“) appeared in EscapePod years ago, and it was a great experience all around.

2. Our 26 stories will have a group byline, so you’ll get to guess which one of us wrote each story! Those of you familiar with our styles will probably be able to tell, but I’m hoping a few of the pieces will surprise you. (If you like a story, then we will all take credit. If you don’t, then someone else wrote it.)

I loved working on this project. My collaborators wrote some terrific stories that I found incredibly inspiring. I hope you’ll enjoy The Alphabet Quartet, too.

UPDATE: Dave Thompson of Escape Artists talks about the audio project!
