So many blog posts to write, so little time. Did I forget to tell you about my fabulous trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific? About the last hockey game of the season? About all the movies and tv shows I’ve been watching, and all the great books I’ve been reading? Have I failed to keep you up-to-date on my latest kung fu form and the travails of Mr. Pointy, my spear? Then there’s all the exciting stuff happening with Slangman’s World and Veritas Studios…where have those updates been?

Well, foo.

But today is not the day to remedy that problem, for today, we write!

Starting at noon Pacific time, I’m going to dive into revisions with the hope of making a serious dent. I’m not heading to Lulu’s Beehive, but I’ll be at Virtual Lulu’s (aka “my sofa”) and would love some company. Stop by, grab a virtual bagel, and let me know how your Sunday is going. Progress reports on any front are welcome.

So grab a chair and let’s get to work!

  1. Sounds good.

The clutch of radishes my wife just hauled from our garden have been magically transformed into an amazing radish-garlic dip that's cleared my sinuses and I've just finished an 8,000 word comedic/fantasy romp involving vampires, zombies, mummies and the CIA. Any ideas on a market?

  2. I've spent most of the afternoon editing the Clarion West newsletter in a library, but now with that out of the way I'm settling into some work on my own novel for the rest of the day. I'm trying to reach the end of the zero draft in the next couple of days. Good luck with the revisions today!

  3. Hiya Jenn! I'm fiddling w/ my novel too! Still figuring out Scrivener, because I think it'll ultimately help me keep the parts fresh in my mind and I'm now doing scenes from my secondary character's PoV. Of course, she's threatening to become my protag now :-)

    Anyway, back to the pixelmines!

  4. @Jamie – Congrats on the new story! Sorry, but no market ideas. I've been out of the short story market for far too long. Can you please post the radish-garlic dip recipe at some point? That sounds amazing!

@Eugene – Thanks! Good luck with your progress on draft zero!

@Heather – I'm still down as a first reader, despite the fact that I'm not going to Blue Heaven, right?!? I'm still figuring out Scrivener, but it's making the second draft soooo much easier than it would have been. Switching quickly between files and pictures and such is wonderful. Good luck!
