I’ve got a new entry up at the SF Novelist site today, so go there to read The Gift of NaNoWriMo.

If you’ve read that, you’ll know why I’m participating in NaNoWriMo this year — for the first time ever! (Don’t try going to the Nano site for a few days. It’s slammed at the beginning of the month.)

My Nano novel is called The Lost Woods and if you’d like to be my buddy, I’m signed up as “jennreese.”

If you’re doing Nano this year, what are you working on?

  1. I know a lot of people want to be writers. But I had no idea the desire was so prevalent they named a month named in its honor …

Ironically, I did something similar in September and October. Upon hearing that Night Shade Books was actively seeking zombie novels, I set aside my untitled YA story and blitzed through a short (42,000 word) zombie novel in six weeks flat. It's entitled NECROMORPHOSIS, and I've posted excerpts to my LiveJournal.

Are you making any progresson ABOVE WORLD? Have you written any pieces of THE LOST WOODS yet? Or are you still immersed in the NaNoWriMo procrastination tools? :-)

  2. Good luck on this!

A good friend talked me into doing this, but since I was biking too much, I didn't want to sign up. I'll do it next time, though.

At least I can root for you and Mike.

    Keep it up!!
