What the hell are you doing? Getting ready to be locked in a coffin?
LOL!! Not exactly, but we did talk about the famous "one-inch punch" later in class. :-D
Speaking as a boxer, looks like gorgeous technique to me. Your knuckles are torn up in the right places for power impacts. *I* ain't going up against you!
Wow, Shelley — thanks! That makes me feel a whole lot better!! Just a few years ago, I would have had some scrapes on the wrong knuckles, too, so maybe I am indeed making progress. :-D
You're grazing the bag … punch straighter next time …/wink.
I'm enjoying your kung fu blog. It's like I'm back home in LA. I'm still in NY, pushing my paintings and artwork where I can. I am happy to see that we have new Black Sashes, it is a good thing. I miss everyone there and the school is always in my thoughts. As far as training is concerned, I have been practicing alone for a year now. Every time, I can "feel" the spirit of our school in every form, in every movement I do.
Give my best to the Sifus and the school next time you see them.
I'll return someday. For now, interesting events, fate, or just random chance or luck has other plans in store for me.
Until then, keep up the writing….it feels good to know whats happening at the school…I don't feel so alone then
Be well
Gio
It is so nice to hear from you and to get an update on your NY journey! Rest assured, your presence is felt every day at the studio. The red dragon watches over everything and everyone. Best of luck with your art, and thank you so much for stopping by my journal and commenting. It's good to remember that although people have to follow their own paths, they never truly leave the White Lotus family.
