Go Kings!

This season I became a REAL hockey fan: I bought a hockey jersey! Here I am at a game last week, sporting my FROLOV jersey and official hat at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

From 2008 Photobook

Do people buy jerseys/uniforms for other sports, or is hockey an anomaly? I was shocked at the first game to see how many people were wearing them. And these things aren’t cheap! It took me two full seasons to justify getting one. But yeah, I’m glad I did. So, for all you sports fans out there, what’s the most expensive or unusual thing you own with your favorite team’s logo on it?

I'm not a sports fan, but I am a music fan, and I have an embarrassingly large number of Styx shirts. But then, their merchandise guy knows me, and when I stop by the booth to get a hug at every show, I then feel guilty unless I buy something.

Happy New Year, Jenn! Hope to see you more often in 2009!

I now have two DCU jerseys. One I bought myself during a holiday sale (Olsen — the heart & soul of United), and one I got as a gift from my soccer buddy (Kpene — freshman striker I thought was great, but came up blank and was waived). I'll wear either with pride, hopefully at the Home Depot Center in LA…
