Blue skies, a nice breeze, and free passes to Disneyland… It’s hard to ask for anything more than that!
The Indiana Jones ride was first. Lisa had never been on it, and her constant laughter had me laughing the entire ride, too. And screaming. And laughing some more. We dodged arrows and barely avoided being crushed by a huge rolling boulder. I even spotted my first “hidden Mickey.” Luckily, our group “looked into the eye.” What a boring ride it would have been if we hadn’t!
Haunted Mansion, Roger Rabbit, Astro Orbiter, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Teacups… So much fun! And I ate and ate and ate: a cream-cheese stuffed pretzel, a veggie burger, apple slices smothered in caramel, coffee… Happy over-priced goodness. Of course, everything tastes better when you’ve gotten in the park for free.
The Buzz Lightyear ride was new for me this year, and I could have ridden it over and over all night. You get a laser gun! You get to shoot targets and save the universe! You get to talk smack to your friends before and after! (Okay, I didn’t do that, but Lisa and I watched the other four folks we were with lay down some truly epic trash talk. Niiice.) Big thumbs up for this interactive ride; I hope to see more interactive rides in the future. (I want a World of Warcraft ride wherein I can strangle murlocs with my bare hands.)
Of course, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride remains one of my favorites. I rode with Erik and he was kind (and foolish!) enough to let me drive. I avoided the old man, but drove straight into the train. Ah well. Hell turned out to be quite cozy.

Overall, one of the best trips to Disney ever.
